of course it’s a prototype. . . the back of the screen is silver, whereas the finished product is black. this is not geared towards home users people, this is a mobile workstation. photographers, software designers, graphic designers, geologists etc. . . the pull out screen is so you have a full 17″ WUXGA screen to view your project and you can keep the palettes and toolbars on the 10. 1″ wide pull out

this way you can have a 16:9 screen and the side a smaller screen to use msn, watch tv, read news. . .
hmm. . . that makes sense. i wouldnt mind ginving this a try.
It’s meant for Photoshoppers. The palettes and toolbars in the smaller screen, leaving the largest screen you’re working in the document.
Why not just make a larger screen? This is completely useless. How about a folding, multi-part screen?
This isn’t a Vitorinox knife, but it would be extraordinarily lame. . . I even don’t get the point of the slide out monitor. . .
I do not see is the application for this would be. . .
